UCA Bus Stop & Community Building

The goal of this project is to evaluate the existing bus stop to determine improvements that could be made with a new design. Based on information collected from a student survey, ventilation, design style, seating and a larger space was shown to be the largest issues. These things will be addressed in the new design as well as, signage, water fountains and possibly vending machines. The surroundings of the bus stop will also be taken into consideration so that it is within context of those surroundings. The idea is to create a space that is more functional, with better aesthetics, and is still within keeping to the UCA campus.

Restaurant

A Taste of Culture is a Venetian based 3 star restaurant that offers classic Venetian and Italian cuisine. This restaurant is located at the end of an upscale Plaza in Syracuse, New York overlooking Oneida Lake. The inspiration used for this restaurant is a mix of Venetian culture with an East Coast contemporary twist. Upon arriving to the restaurant you will be greeted with a fresh scent of landscaped herbs with a mix of white washed red brick and stucco. The exterior glass iron fixtures will light the view of the entrance.

Counseling Center

The intent of this project is to create a space that is more hospitable and is conducive to conduct healthier, social, and emotional behavior. The space will offer the ability to differentiate one area from another with way finding techniques. To achieve way finding with flooring, some colored flooring or lines on flooring that leads others to their destination. When it comes to way finding for walls, adding colors or shapes to encourage movement and direction to the right area. In the study room a ramp will be added for ADA accessibility and a fire exit. The door between the kitchen and break room should be replaced with a sliding door or made into a pocket door.

Matthews Park

The intent of this park design is to provide the community of Greenbrier Arkansas with a place for individuals and families, no matter their abilities, to be able to enjoy a community park. This park will include areas for basketball, volleyball, skate park, splash pad, ADA and non ADA playgrounds, bathrooms with concessions, pavilions (large and small), community food truck area, and an ADA fishing dock. This design will also provide many parking areas with signage and lighting.
